Introduction/ Einleitung

The Centaur Research Project (CRP) was initiated by Robert von Heeren in April 1997 after the official naming of the third Centaur Nessus by International Astronomical Union according to his and two other astrologers' naming proposal.

Until today there are eight Centaurs named according to astrologer's (members of CRP) proposals:

8405 Asbolus (1995 GO), 1999
10199 Chariklo (1997 CU26), 1999
10370 Hylonome (1995 DW2), 2000
52975 Cyllarus (1998 TF35), 2003
52872 Okyrhoe (1998 SG35), 2003
32532 Thereus (2001 PT13), 2003
31824 Elatus (1999 UG5), 2003

Das Kentauren-Forschungsprojekt (KFP) wurde von Robert von Heeren im April 1997 in Folge der offiziellen Benennung des dritten Kentauren Nessus (vormals 1993 HA2) durch die Internationale Astronomische Union gegründet, welche erstmalig in ihrer Geschichte einen Benennungsvorschlag von drei Astrologen (darunter auch RvH) angenommen hatte. Hier gibt's mehr zum Hintergrund des Kentauren-Forschungsprojektes und der Nessus-Benennung.
Bis heute sind insgesamt acht Kentauren nach Namensvorschlägen von Astrologen (Mitglieder des KFP) benannt worden:
